'The Awesome 80s Prom' is a brand new interactive experience in the style of 'Tony and Tina's Wedding' and 'The Donkey Show' set at Wanaget High's Senior Prom... in 1989! All of your favorite characters from your favorite '80s movies are represented at the Prom, from the Captain of the Football Team to the Asian Exchange Student, from the Geek to the hottie Head Cheerleader, and they're all competing for Prom King and Queen. And just like on 'American Idol,' the audience gets to decide who wins! Come 'Back In Time,' to quote a Huey Lewis tune, and join the breakdance circle or just sit back and watch the '80s drama unfold. Come on, you know you have a Members Only jacket somewhere... and if you're lucky, they'll even let you dance with a cheerleader. Dressing up in '80s attire is definitely encouraged. After 'The Prom,' party all night at Webster Hall for free with each paid admission.

exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how Coe Hall, a 65-room Tudor-Revival style mansion, was divided among the servants who ran the estate. This tour will enable you to see how these servants helped maintain the lavish lifestyle of the 1920s, which is such an important part of Long Island's history. You will be able to tour the basement, including the coal storage, the wine cellar, and the refrigeration rooms which are normally not open to the public. You will also be able to see the third floor and view the servants' beds and bathrooms. A special emphasis will be placed on the original documents produced by Mr. Coe and his servants about this era.

This acclaimed production is based on the animated Disney movie, but is quite different from the film. From the opening, which features life-sized animal representations taking over the stage to pay tribute to Mufasa, it is clear this is a unique theatrical experience that tries to make a statement about the cycle of life and death in the wilderness. The music is by Elton John and Tim Rice, and includes such beloved songs as 'Circle of Life' and 'Hakuna Matata.'

In attempting to understand creation, ancient people developed myths in which the egg was perceived as the source of life, the sun, and the universe. The Ukrainian pysanka (plural: pysanky) was believed to possess enormous power, not only in the egg itself (which harbored the nucleus of life), but also in the symbolic designs and colors drawn on the egg in a specific manner, according to prescribed rituals. Pysanky were used for various social and religious occasions and were considered to be a talisman, a protection against evil, as well as harbingers of good. In pagan times, pysanky were decorated in early Spring; with the introduction of Christianity, this was done before Easter. The symbolic ornamentation of the pysanka consists mainly of geometric motifs, with some animal and plant elements. Although contemporary artisans continue to employ ancient symbols and traditional colors on the egg, the pysanka is no longer considered to be a talisman, just a beautiful folk art object.
